A 200-acre tropical paradise located in Walt Disney World Resort's Epcot area, Disney Caribbean Beach Resort, as it name implies, is a Caribbean-themed resort over empowered with magic.

 

It opened in October 1, 1988, the same year when Victorian-themed Grand Floridian Resort and Spa opened (in June), and joining earlier resorts: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and Polynesian Resort. While some might find walking around to reach each of the spread-out "villages" into the resort's vast area a tedious task to partake, the experience is definitely exhilarating and remarkable because a single site would not fail to be imprinted in someone's imagination. These village buildings share a similar general layout from another but are distinctive through their bright pastel colors.

They are aptly named after well-known Caribbean islands: Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique and Trinidad North and Trinidad South. These buildings circles up the 40-acre lakes named the Barefoot Bay. Summing up, Caribbean Beach Resort would have a grand total of 2,112 rooms, Visitors should expect the following usual services: room service, concierge desk, laundry facilities, and car parking areas and facilities and assistance for guests with disabilities. Adults who have their own children need not worry for the resort also offers babysitting, child services and the park and play crib, to make waiting for kids an enjoyable time. Restaurants, food courts, arcades and gift shops can be found in the Old Port Royale, the feature pool which has recently undergone renovation and will be opened again in September. Each of the village is equipped with their own heated pools where visitors can spend their time chilling out and relaxing. For people who are seeking for wild enjoyment, they can try sashaying themselves away into the waterfalls, waterslides and shooting water cannons. Each village also has their own playgrounds. In the grand re-opening of the Old Port Royale, brand new slides in the Barbados and Jamaica village people will surely catch the attention of visitors who will find more rooms for recreation.

Of course, this magnificent resort wouldn’t be named the Caribbean Beach Resort without the white sand beach! Its shores are a perfect spot for leisure and recreation. Hammocks are provided for people who just want to past time while being pushed by the wind. Discover the hidden talent in sculpture by making things out of the white sand, probably you can create a sand castle, or you can be more creative and create something else out of the grains. If you're the athletic type you can play beach volleyball with friends or challenge your peers in various water sports and race in the sea with a boat of your choice: canopy boat, pontoon boat, sailboat, canoe or Sea Raycer. Or you can choose to pass out time and engage on a jog around the 1.4 mile scenic vicinity.
