The Swan Hotel at Walt Disney World Resort

One of the official hotels of the Walt Disney World Resort is the enchantingly beautiful Walt Disney Swan Hotel. It was officially accredited by the Walt Disney Company to accommodate the hundreds of people that visit the theme park, but is not owned or managed by Disney.

The excellent operator, as well as owner, of this world-class hotel is Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, which is a brand of the Westin Hotels.

The unique design of the Swan Hotel was carefully and painstakingly engineered by Michael Graves, a celebrated American architect belonging to the famous “New York Five”. The Swan, which is located on Disney’s ground between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot at the back of Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, publicly commenced operation on the 13th of January 1990.

It sits proud right across its equally enthralling sister hotel, the Walt Disney World Dolphin. Its physical address is 1200 Epcot Resort Boulevard, Lake Buenavista, Florida 32830. The Swan has a 12-storey main building decorated with two giant statues of the graceful bird swan. Each swan statue measures 47 feet tall—so graceful and proud sitting atop the building with their wings spread beautifully pointing up the sky, as about to take flight and carry the guests with them in a magical hotel ride.

The hotel’s façade is lively colored, a light pomelo pink color accented with sky blue and regular blue waves. The exterior of the Swan Hotel is beautiful but wait till you get to see its interior! Pastel colored lighting illuminates the lobby, giving a soft, comforting glow to the entire area. There’s a beautiful swan fountain—four graceful swans sitting back to back on a circular pool with water cascading from their beaks. Rooms of the hotel total to 2,265, so Walt Disney visitors are sure to get a room for their vacation. And of course, there are still the other official hotels of Disney in the area. But if what you are looking for is a fairytale princess atmosphere and experience, stay at the Swan Hotel.

You would definitely feel you are as exquisite and graceful as the swan. The hotel is a proud recipient of the 14th Annual World Travel Awards’ Leading Resort in North America, so you can be sure that your stay in it would be worth every penny. The rooms are simply perfect, equipped with the Heavenly Bed, having customized pillow-top mattress set and the fluffiest pillows you would ever feel. Sleeping here would surely be like sleeping on the clouds. Special facilities and services of the resort hotel include 17 cozy lounges and restaurants, white sandy beach, five swimming pools, two health clubs, golf, tennis and the latest relaxing and rejuvenating services at the new Mandara Spa. Not to mention its proximity to all the fun activities at Walt Disney World Resort—no one can argue that it’s a perfect place to come home to after a tiring but fun-filled day at the theme park.
